What types of room do you offer?

Prestige Assisted Living has a number of different room sizes. You may make a request of the type and size room you would like, however the nursing staff will help you and your family determine what room is right for you. For residents that need extra assistance, it may be recommended for them to move into a room that is closer to the nurse’s station in order for us to provide adequate and efficient care when needed.

What does each room include?

All rooms have their own bathroom/shower. Every room is supplied with a small refrigerator and microwave. Residents are encouraged to furnish/decorate their rooms to their liking. Each room is supplied with cable and phone hook ups. We also provide wireless internet in each room.

What does the monthly rental fee cover?

The monthly rent, based on the expected level of care you will need, includes room and board, along with all extra amenities, including:

  • Daily Housekeeping & Linen Service
  • Laundry Service
  • Nursing Services
  • Administration & Supervision of Medications Daily
  • Homelike residence in a private room/apartment with private bathroom/shower
  • Assistance with hygiene care: bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.
  • Nutritional snacks/drinks served daily
  • Organized activities onsite
  • Enclosed, secure courtyard to enjoy the outdoors
  • Beauty salon / barbershop
  • Holiday and Birthday Parties
  • 2 large living rooms / lounge with large TV
  • Scheduled transportation available
  • Three well-balanced, home cooked meals daily in our dining room

What activities does your facility have?

Prestige Assisted Living has a large and small dining room, along with two private dining areas, so that you may enjoy time with family when they come and visit. We also have a large and small living area with television sets and a piano. Residents enjoy gathering for movie night and special events. A newly renovated enclosed outdoor area (covered and uncovered) allows our residents to go outside at any time for dining or other social activities. We also have an activities director that plans different activities for our residents each day, as well as regular holiday and birthday parties.

I am planning to move into an Assisted Living Facility soon... what is your room availability?

We recommend getting on our waiting list with a $600.00 deposit. We will contact you when a room is available. When you are contacted you may choose to move in anytime within the next two weeks of notification.

Is there a minimum age of accepted residents?

No, there is no minimum on ages. We welcome residents of any age.

How many hours in a day is a nurse is on staff?

A CNA is on site at Prestige Assisted Living 24 hours per day, and and LPNs and RNs are on site 15 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Do you accept pets?

Yes, we allow pets with a $250 pet deposit, as long as the resident is able to, and agrees to, take 100% care of the pet themselves.

Do you offer religious services on site?

Yes, we provide religious services on site.

Do you manage incontinence?

Yes, we manage incontinence for both bladder and bowel.

Does every room have an emergency response system?

Every resident at Prestige Assisted Living is given a call light that they may keep in their room, or carry around with them in the facility. When they press the call light our nursing staff is notified that assistance is needed.

Is it open or assigned seating in the dining room?

Yes, seating is open and we can also help you find a group of people in the large dining room that you may enjoy dining with and making new friends. Residents are also allowed to eat in their room, the smaller dining area, or outside.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we will make accommodations for meals by request from a physician or family members regarding our residents’ diets.

Can I be served my meal in my room?

Prestige Assisted Living residents are encouraged to come out and visit in the dining room at meal times. However, meals may be brought to their room whenever they would like to eat in.

How often does my room get cleaned?

Housekeeping is provided daily. Changing of bed linens is done three times per week, or more often if necessary.

How do I handle my garbage?

The trash receptacles in your room are emptied each day.

If you are considering assisted living as a possibility now, or in the future, we would love for you to come and visit with us. Prestige Assisted Living is a 41 bed facility. We take pride in the fact that our place is smaller than most assisted living facilities. This gives the feel for a more “family like” atmosphere. You will notice right when you walk in that our residents feel comfortable with our staff. The owners, Dennington and Allison Moss, are seen at the facility daily. They make a point to know each resident personally. The owners have their phone numbers available to all residents where they can personally call them if there is a problem.
